Sometimes, we have to move on..

It's true, sometimes, we have to move on, and sometimes it is a battle trying to figure out how to. Believe me I would know because I have been battling it for a while now. No word of a lie. Stuff happens that you didn't plan for it to happen, stuff becomes complicated and painful and also terrifying. Because you come from being set in your thoughts and your own way, all your plans, and then it comes crashing down. Whether it be because you decide to take a gamble and move to a big, new and exciting city full of creativity, not for anyone else but yourself. It may be because you need a change, and a new step towards your future. It may be , because you can't keep kidding yourself that everything is okay and will stay that way when relationships fall into a thousand pieces, it may be, you find unexected, true, irreversable friendship and love.

 Things happen for a reason, and you have to remember and treasure the good memories, but you store them for a reason, we move on. I have a life here in london and Im working hard, and im just trying to make a decent future to treat myself and my loved ones. And if thats me being selfish? then you don't know what hard work is. I have an amazing family, I have amazing friends, I have the life of fashion pr and uni and i have an amazing boyfriend. And im sick of people involving themselves when its nothing to do with anyone else. Im happy with my life and i will live it the best way i can.

A week under the thumb in fashion pr.

Okay, so it's become very unfortunate that due to uni and trying to have a life that involves some me time other than work, has proven difficult, Let alone even MORE difficult to update my blog, so, new years resolution? KEEP UPDATING.

Since starting my second year at university, getting myself more engaged and involved in the working fashion industry has been the goal from the beginning, and so, with the opportunity to get myself a work placement to intern within the fashion industry, I managed to bag one at SCPR. A well known fashion pr company hidden away in crammed offices full of rails of clothing, shelves of handbags and shoes, along with the mountain of paperwork that seems to never end, in a mews that takes up residency in Marylebone. <3

All of these pictures only sum up some of the clients SCPR deal with on a day to day business. Whether it be mailing out look books for collections to magazines, companies, assistants, stylists, newspapers, or going to meet clients, assisting in prep for photoshoots, booking out collections as well as booking returns back in. All stuff to keep you on your feet and I can tell you now there won't be a moment without something to do. Long days but at least it means getting yourself involved with what is happening around you as well as having the opportunity to come up with my own ideas and using my own iniative too.  

 

So, one week down and just another five to go before university classes commence again for the second part of my degree. Exciting stuff aye! Looking forward to learning more over the forthcoming weeks, however, not looking forward to missing my bed as much as I do.
